3rd Annual Jimmy Fund Cookout = Success!!

Yesterday we hosted our 3rd Annual Jimmy Fund Cookout. It was a gruelingly hot day, but luckily by the time the games got started most of our yard was in the shade so nobody ended up suffering from heat-stroke. I want to express my deepest appreciation to all of those who attended, whether in person or in spirit (this includes those of you who sent us good wishes from long distances that couldn't make it).

The final results for the events are as follows:

The Home Run Derby
   ~ Raised $14
~ Winner - Jon Gavin (for the 3rd year in a row....although this year his brother Matt Gavin and 7 year old
Liam Evans made him work hard for it, as we ended up having to do a 3 way tie-break round)

The Dart Tournament
   ~ Raised $42
  ~ Winner - Jon Gavin....again

The 50/50 Badminton Tournament
  ~ Raised $160
~ Winner - Jon and Ann Gavin...they kindly donated the 50% of the entry fees they won

The 50/50 Ladder Ball Tournament
   ~ Raised $160
~ Winner - Matt Gavin and Paul DeSantis...they kindly donated the 50% of the entry fees they won

 The 50/50 Raffle Drawing
   ~ Raised $121
~ Winner - Bridget O'Connor...she kindly donated the 50% of the raffle that she won

Spare Change Jar
   ~ Raised $21.74

General Donations/Entry Fees
  ~ Raised $424

Grand Total Raised  $982.74

Long story short, another successful year!!!!

Unfortunately my camera is on strike and is not currently working, so I don't have many pictures to share of the day's events just yet.  However, I did steal the following of the Three Musketeers from my cousin Ann's facebook page so at least you can have one fun thing to look at:
