Hunterism #1: Hunter looks up to Charlie as any young boy looks up to his older brother....unfortunately for Hunter, he just cannot accept the fact that Charlie is a cat and is unable to complete human tasks. There have been times when we ask Bubs who he wants to change his diaper, mommy or daddy, and his response is "Charlie" and then he insists on giving Charlie the diaper. He also asks Charlie to participate in a variety of activities that we find ourselves doing. For example, last weekend as I was dolling myself up for my cousin's wedding, Hunter was having fun next to me trying on an assortment of necklaces, rings, and bracelets. Of course he had to save some for Charles and ended up chasing Charlie around the house until the cat finally got worn out laid down in one spot and let Hunter put a pile of necklaces next to him. The other night Bubs was coloring in some of his new books and he tried to get Charlie to join him...even though the cat refused, Hunter made sure he left a crayon by him just in case he changed his mind.
Hunterism #2: He has the STINKIEST feet on the planet, even with brand new sandals that he only wore for a short period of time after taking a bath.
Hunterism #3: Tonight was just Bubs and I for dinner and I fed him the nutritious meal of left-over pizza. After our plates were cleared of the Italian pie while I was in the process of fixing myself a big slice of birthday cake topped with several spoonfuls of ice cream, Hunter asked me for a bowl of corn for dessert....he certainly did not inherit that from me!!!
Hunterism #4: A few weeks ago when it was a million degrees outside Bubs and I saw some person running on the side of the road. I made a comment about that person being crazy, as these were the days when it was well into the nineties not counting the humidity factor; and now every time we see someone running Hunter declares that person crazy as well.
Hunterism #5: Bubs developed a new pick-up move at the beach. Several times today he ran up to groups of pretty ladies, body slammed himself down to the ground right next to them, and then stuck his whole face in the sand (with his tongue sticking out). I must say, this certainly did get the giggles and the "awww" comments that I'm sure he was going for.
Hunterism #6: My favorite new common saying of his...."Noway Jose"....he seems to have impeccable timing of delivering it....it never ceases to make me laugh.
