Soon after I found out I was pregnant, I registered onto the What to Expect website to read up on the whole new world that pregnancy throws you into. This site has a feature where it will send you an email update on the first day of your new week with a description of the expected development of the baby for the upcoming week, how your body will change, and common symptoms. For example, according to this site, I just finished week 38 and in week 39 Hunter's physical growth will probably slow down, but his brain is still actively developing and my body may start to show signs that labor is right around the corner.
I have been receiving this email every Tuesday for about 35 weeks now. At first I used to get excited to get them, but now I am to the point where I can't wait until I no longer receive them. I have come to the conclusion that the last month of Pregnancy is like staring at a pot of water waiting for it to boil. Actually, I take that back...it is like staring at this picture of a pot of water waiting for it to boil...
Can you tell I am getting just a little antsy!! I know I know...he will come out when he is good and ready, and I just have to be patient. But still, I would not be disappointed if he decided to show up earlier than expected :) I am asked quite often if I am getting nervous for when labor begins, to which my response is "Absolutely not!!". Bring on the excruciatingly, painful contractions and the weird body fluid leakage...I am so ready for this grand finale to begin!!

Beth, as my alarm went off this morning, in a half dream I thought I read a text from alex saying hunter was born in the middle of the night! I'm getting ansy for you too! I hope he comes this week!
ReplyDeletebeth after watching you through out this whole pregnancy you have been absolutely wonderful. watching you talk to hunter. watching you and alex set up his room. i know you both are ready for hunter, and i know hunter knows that. he is ready to see his mom and dad and be in your arms looking at you. hang in there it's almost here and hunter will be in your arms at any moment. i am so glad i got to experience this whole pregnancy. you have done so well. i love you and i am so proud of you beth. you are going to be the greatest mom ever. and hunter is the luckiest boy who has two wonderful loving parents. he is going to be so loved.
