As far as resolutions go...Alex and I don't have any, however Hunter does. His goal for this year is to be able to keep both of his socks on for periods that last longer than 5 minutes at a time. I must say, day 1 has not started off well, as we have spent a lot of the morning putting them back on his feet. That's ok though, he still has 364 1/2 days to work on it!!

The Light Family has a tradition of beginning the new year by watching the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy (extended version). Don't you worry, we will not be making Hunter sit quietly through 13 hours worth of movies, we are taking turns keeping him occupied and entertained. So far it has been pretty easy, as he was asleep before Bilbo even set off to Rivendell and didn't wake up until the fellowship left Lady Galadriel. We really just use Lord of the Rings day to hunker down and chillax. I tend to take lots of naps during it...don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the movies, there is just something about the soothing sounds of uruk-hai getting slaughtered that lulls me to sleep.
