Splishy, Splashy

It was a water filled weekend for the Lights. It started off with Hunter and I getting into a water-fight in the back seat of his dad's car on the way home from a cookout on Saturday night....hey, don't blame me, he is the one who started it!! I know this may not exactly be the correct way to teach the boy car-riding etiquette, but hey, it kept us both entertained for the hour long ride home.  Needless to say, by the time we got to our destination, Huntskies was soaked.....

On Sunday, Hunter got to experience a pool for the very first time. In light of the horrendously hot weather we were having this weekend, Alex and I thought it would be the perfect time to pick up his first pool. For all of those mom's of infants out there who haven't seen these yet, we got this at Target for $4. Huntskies had a blast in it.....WARNING: The below pictures contain contents of extreme cuteness and may cause the viewer to use the term "awww" out-loud several times which could potentially annoy others in the room who are not looking at the photos of extreme cuteness....

Today Hunter, Allie, and I headed in to Boston to meet our friends The Trossello Trio. The weather was gorgeous and it was perfect for walking around the Boston Commons. We started the trip by paying our respects to the exhibit of American Flags clustered in the center of the park.  There are a total of 33,000 flags, each representing the fallen Massachusetts soldiers dating back to the Civil War up to present times.

After visiting the flag memorial we headed over to the Boston Public Garden to take a ride on the swan boats.  It was fun to watch the boys interact with each other throughout the day and to see how they each reacted to the new experience.  The boys got along great. I was so happy that Hunter was more willing to socialize with Gabe this time around.

This could be Hunter giving Gabe a hug....or he could be trying a new wrestling move...we couldn't tell which it was

H and G passed this book back a forth for a long time, it was one of the cutest baby interactions ever!
Our boys were having so much fun that the girl-next-door, Anna decided to come join our party. Hunter was more than happy to go meet her half way to make her feel more welcome.

This picture makes me think of the cartoon Rugrats...it looks like the babies are all plotting a scheme of some sort.
