An Expert at Playing Hooky at Age 1

At 3 am this morning we heard the usual "Maaammmaaa" coming from down the hall. Hunter starts every night off in his own room, but 9.7 times out of 10 he asks to come into our room within the middle of the night. When Alex brought in him into our room, he noticed that the poor little guy felt like a furnace. We took his temp and it was a steamy 103.1. After a small dose of some Children's Tylenol and a couple of rounds of who gets which pillow, he drifted back into dreamland.  I elected to stay home with him today so that he could spend some time getting rest and possibly visit the doctor.  When he finally woke up at 10:15 am (sleeping that late is unheard of in toddlerville) he was his happy-go-lucky self and his fever had completely disappeared. A quick chat with the pediatrics nurse left us with a plan of just laying low for the day and watching to see if the temp goes back up. However, the thing about my Bubs is that he doesn't agree with the concept of laying low and resting away his ailments. So instead of the cuddly, relaxation filled day that one might expect when caring for a "sick" toddler, I have spent my day off from work playing football, chasing basketballs, coloring, singing, decorating with stickers, playing hockey with swords, and teaching Bubs how to do the "Ring Around The Rosie" song (what a morbid kids song...but they find it fun none-the-less)...not a bad way to burn up a sick day if you ask me.

Anyway, I have a couple of free moments to spare while Hunter busies himself with crashing his indoor bike into the walls around the house to finally appease the frequent visitors of The Light House by uploading a couple of new photos:

Bubs is big into the hat and glasses look these days...in fact, he even frequents the look while he is inside the house on cloudy days.....

Boo....

Best Friends Forever.....

Lucky Duck Dad got to see the Bruins sweep the Penguins in person last Friday night. He brought home a memorabilia Stanley Cup cup for Bubs.  It was the first thing he saw when he went down stairs on Saturday morning, he was pumped....
