Easter Celebrations

We were blessed with beautiful weather this weekend to enjoy while we partook in our annual Easter traditions.  On Saturday we dyed and decorated some Easter eggs outside and then headed over to the Church for the Parish Easter Egg Hunt.

Bubs was in charge of moving the eggs from the dye bowls to the egg carton, and surprisingly we only had a couple casualties

awwww

Alex giving his son some pointers on how to triumph in a community Easter Egg Hunter

Hunter was more excited about the toys that he already owned than searching for the eggs that the creepy, mutant, silent Easter Bunny hid when he broke into our house last night:

This afternoon was spent playing whatever outdoor games we could scrounge up from the shed.  It was a great day for sidewalk chalk, bubbles, badminton, kick ball, wiffle ball, bike rides, scooters, basketball, and walks to see the horses.

Dinner involved enjoying the always delightful company of Dad (Grandpa), Margaret, and Allie....Alex cooked a delicious dinner, I baked up a mediocre dessert, and Bubs provided the stand-up comedy.

A super-duper-huge thank you to Allie who surprised us all with baskets of goodies including some homemade gifties.....it was so sweet of you to put the time, energy, and effort into making something so special and personalized for us all....you're awesome!!
