Its a Dad's Life + Hunter's first jam session

This is dedicated to Alex and all the other men out there who have morphed into the role of fatherhood...this video says it all....

In other news, last night Hunter attended his very first jam session. To those of you who may not know, many a weekends of my childhood were spent listening to my dad and his buddy Mike playing a variety of genres of music. Over the years we started to collect miscellaneous percussion instruments for everyone to join in with while dad and Mike play their guitars, so now the jam sessions are more resembling of a collaborative band rather than just a sing-a-long...which is good for me as my vocals are not exactly pleasing to the ears around me. Everyone loves participating, and Hunter was no exception last night. At first when we all started playing our instruments he just looked around at us all in awe, trying to figure out what it was we were all doing, but it didn't take long for him to catch on and he started playing along on his own.

And of course, a jam session is never complete without the Manomet version of "Brick in the Wall"....unfortunately my video camera ran out of batteries, so I had to film this on my picture camera, so the sound/picture quality isn't the best, but you can still get the idea.....

Last but not least, we also celebrated my nephew Eryk's 13th birthday last night. I cannot believe that the little boy that I used to pick up and dance with to Muppet's Treasure Island's "Cabin Fever" is a teenager who is now big enough to pick me up. Man, where does time go?
