Why does the weekend have to go by so fast?

I'm pretty sure someone hit the fast forward button on my weekend, I can't believe its already Sunday night.  Friday night zoomed by as Hunter and I helped Aunty Allie pack up her apartment so she can get ready for her next chapter on life while watching cheesy Hallmark movies.  Saturday morning was spent doing the typical weekend errands (ie. recycling center, grocery shopping) and then in the afternoon we took off to Franklin to help our friend Annette Trossello celebrate her 30th birthday (Happy Birthday Annette!!!).  At the party we had fun catching up with friends we don't get to see as often as we would like, we jumped in the bouncy house, and we ate way too much delicious food.  Hunter and Gabe are so funny when they interact with each other. They do mostly parallel play, but then they also go through phases where they either try to steal each others toys or they try to peer pressure each other into using toys.  Unfortunately I forgot my camera (ugh!!), but I saw Gabe's Nana taking a bunch of pictures so I am hoping to be able to steal some photos from her when she posts them on facebook.

Today Hunter and I woke up bright and early to have our Sunday morning breakfast and play session. We had so much fun that Hunter used up all his energy quickly and was conked out in a deep nap by 10:30, just in time for him to miss Church (sometimes I think he plans that on purpose!).  By the time I got home from Mass, Bubs was awake, so after a quick lunch we headed outside to enjoy the gorgeous autumn day. Alex was mowing the lawn (which Huntski was enthralled with for a very long time) and then he started raking up big piles of leaves....and of course you can't have a big pile of leaves in your yard without someone running and jumping into them.....

Once Bubbers had enough of crawling in the leaves we headed over to a local farm stand with GG (aka, Gramma Glenni) where we went on a hay ride and picked out our 2012 pumpkin family.  Hunter was much more involved in the annual tradition this year than he was last year, and in fact he picked out 2 of the 3 that we brought home.  He was quite hilarious to watch in the pumpkin field as he was under the impression that the big orange things were bouncy balls created just for him to throw around....

We got home just after the Jets/Patriots kickoff so the rest of the evening was spent with GG and I girl-chatting with the game on in the back ground, eating crock-pot-pot-roast (compliments to Chef Gordo), and witnessing the cutiness of the Bubs (despite his tired-boy-crankster moments).
