Where To Begin

This was one of those perfect weekends that you never want to end (not that I ever actually want the weekend to end, but you know what I mean).  We had a family movie night on Friday after Alex was done taking a mid-term and watched "All Dogs Go to Heaven".  On Saturday my sister Allie came over to babysit so Alex and I could have a night on the town. She was even kind enough to bring us a coupon to TGIFridays to use towards dinner. We left the house at around 5:45 pm and had dinner first.  Allie had told us we could have the night and we tried to think of something fun to do afterwards. There weren't any movies out that either of us wanted to see and there isn't much else to do around these parts during the winter. However we came up with the perfect cap to our date....we went back home and spent the rest of the night working in our studios. I worked on my Project Life book and Dear Hunter scrapbook in my art studio, while Alex was in his studio laying down some tracks to his new album. It was the best date ever! Thank you Aunty Allie for letting us have that time to ourselves!!

On Sunday we had our first cousins baby play date. This year the Lyons crew had 3 new additions to the family. Hunter is the oldest at 5 1/2 months, Zachary is the middle child at 2 months, and Colin is the youngest at 5 weeks. This is the first of hopefully many play-dates amongst this trio. Of course the little guys are too young to really do anything at this point, so it turned out to be more of a mom-chat than anything else. That's OK though because it was still fun catching up with my cousins Ann and Rachel about the whole mom-thing. Not too mention I enjoyed seeing those two cutie-patootie newborns. Colin makes the most adorable little faces as he is taking in his surroundings. Zachery was a little under the weather, so he slept most of the time, but when he did finally wake up he was the most chill baby ever, especially considering he was sick. I'm so glad that Hunter gets to grow up with these boys, it is going to be so much fun!!  Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures in this time around, but we promise to capture the cuteness on film next time.

Hunter has the most infectious laugh ever.  I wish I could just bottle it up and take it with me every where I go. And he finds the most random things funny, which makes the whole thing even better. Not sure why this video came out upside down, but its still hilarious none-the-less:

Hunter loves having his very own seat at the table:

And last but not least, if you haven't already seen it yet, you should really check out http://www.lindseylightblog.com/ and scroll to the "Happy Valentines Day" entry to catch a glimpse of an amazing picture of Hunter.

  2. I am so glad that Alex has found his Inner Gorilla!!!!!!!! A new study shows that babies learn to eat best when they feed themselves. Now that will be worth a million pictures of food smeared faces. Can he try cheerios yet? I remember those were the best snack and the best fine motor skill practice ever.
